Skyroo Travels was put together by people who love Sri Lanka and who got tired of seeing Australian and New Zealand travellers get generic itineraries that undersold what the island is actually capable of. Sri Lanka for the ANZ market should look different – more active, more wildlife-heavy, more time on the coast, more time on the hills, and less time in tourist queues that don’t go anywhere interesting. We build tours for the kind of traveller who books the adventure sport before they book the flight, who wants a nature guide with actual field knowledge, and who considers a good wave or a good wildlife sighting a perfectly valid reason for an itinerary stop. Honest About What We Offer

We don’t oversell Sri Lanka and we don’t oversell ourselves. Wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed – we’ll tell you the realistic odds. Not every beach is swimmable at every time of year – we’ll point you to the one that is. The highland train is extraordinary but it’s not the only good thing in the hill country. Skyroo gives you an accurate picture because travellers who arrive with accurate expectations have a better time, and that matters more to us than closing a sale.

We work with ethical operators, choose safari timing based on actual wildlife activity patterns, and brief our guests on responsible wildlife behaviour before they set foot in a park.

Sri Lanka has two seasons, two coasts, and year-round somewhere to be by the ocean. Skyroo factors the coast into its packages properly – not just as a relaxation appendix at the end, but as a genuine destination in its own right with surf, marine wildlife, snorkelling, and beach culture that rewards time spent. We know where to go and when, and we build that into the route.

Every accommodation in a Skyroo itinerary has been assessed for quality, location, and how well it fits the character of each destination. We’re not selling cheap nights padded into expensive packages – every property we recommend is there because it’s good value for what it offers and because it puts you in the right place for the next day’s activities.
